Maintenance

As a vehicle owner it is vitally important that you are carrying out regular preventative maintenance on your vehicle. Without proper maintenance, your vehicle will be prone to problems in the future that could lead to you being out of pocket.

Maintenance tasks are carried out in line with a VOSA/DVSA approved checklist sheet, we use a system called R2C and you will be provided with a printed copy of your preventative maintenance check and/or MOT work. Alternatively, you can log on to the R2C system and download your paperwork.

Inspections

Preventative maintenance inspections are a legal VOSA requirement if your vehicle is 3 1/2 tonne or over. Frequency depends on your business & usage e.g., 6, 8, 10 or 12 weeks.

It is a legal requirement to carry out a vehicle inspection to gather information on the current condition (damage, maintenance, safety) and to determine whether the vehicle is road worthy at regular intervals.

At BWBS our technicians are qualified, experienced and equipped to carry out vehicle inspections to determine the condition of your vehicle.

MOT Inspections

We provide pre-MOT inspections for LGV, HGV, Trailers and Horseboxes. Moreover, we will present your vehicle for test.

Our qualified technicians at BWBS are equipped to carry out pre-MOT inspections and will advise you in advance if any maintenance work is required prior to the MOT test.

Safety

Repair

At BWBS we carry out numerous repairs on vehicles from something simple to full engine rebuilds. Our team at BWBS are experienced, qualified and equipped with cutting edge diagnostics systems to assist with problem identification and resolution. We also use a wide range of local suppliers and specialists to help us get you back on the road as soon as possible.

Servicing

A vehicle service is a series of maintenance procedures carried out at a set time interval, or after the vehicle has travelled a certain distance. The service intervals are specified by the vehicle manufacturer in a service schedule.

Maintenance tasks commonly carried out during a motor vehicle service include:

Changing the engine oil
Replacing the oil filter
Replacing the air filter
Replacing the fuel filter
Replacing the cabin or a/c filter
Checking all fluid levels

Breakdown

Roadside assistance and breakdown coverage are services that assist drivers whose vehicles have suffered a mechanical failure that leaves the operator stranded.

At BWBS we offer 24/7 breakdown assistance. More importantly, if we can't get you on the road, we can arrange recovery to our workshop or to your own depot.

Recovery

If you need anything from a light van to an HGV recovered, BWBS can arrange to recover you, via a network of sub-contracted recovery people, wherever you breakdown.

Winter Prep

With winter looming, it's vital that your vehicle is in proper working order so that it's capable of dealing with the bad weather and, more importantly, it won't break down. According to research by recovery firms, you're twice as likely to break down in winter months.
